What is a Telecom Agent?
A telecom agent is a person who has partnered with technology service providers such as internet, phone service, cloud applications, disaster recovery and more. The agent is not employed by any of the service providers but instead acts as a unbiased technology expert who can provide quotes from many different qualified service providers. He or she then oversees the procurement, contract negotiation, installation and support of the new technology. The agent works on behalf of your company, their time and expert advice is typically free and they are paid by the service provider directly. Telecom agents usually get more favorable pricing as they are much cheaper then employing an in house sales team.
